To purchase tickets, please visit www.allaboutbeer.com/wbf or visit Richmond ticket sales locations: Mekong Restaurant 6004 W. Broad Street and Capital Ale House (Downtown, Innsbrook & Midlothian).

Produced by All About Beer Magazine, the festival offers two four-hour sessions, from noon to 4 p.m., and from 6 to 10 p.m. General admission to a single session is $40 in advance, $50 day of the event, which includes beer samples, music by local bands, educational sessions by industry experts, and a festival tasting glass. VIP tickets are also available for an additional $35. VIP benefits include admission to the VIP lounge, samples of extra special beers, private restrooms and free catered food.

“Our event exposes people to a huge range of beers including imports combined with some experiential learning on brewing and food pairing,” said Daniel Bradford, publisher of All About Beer Magazine. “Plus this year, we will be showcasing our expanded concept of beer as an art, with more displays and in-depth presentations, that explain further why beer is such an exciting, interesting beverage and socializer.”

The World Beer Festival is a celebration of the world beer culture, offering attendees a sampling of hundreds of beers from more than 100 domestic and international breweries. Festival goers also enjoy educational sessions by industry experts, food from a variety of local restaurants, plus live entertainment by local musicians. For the second year, the festival will be presented by local Richmond charity; FETCH a Cure.

“The craft beer industry including microbreweries is exploding because people are discovering the amazing tastes and variety in beer,” said Bradford. “Richmond embraced festival in 2010 and we’re excited to return, where consumers, whoelsalers, retailers, and suppliers all come together.”

The World Beer Festival is also looking for volunteers to help run the event. It is a great opportunity to meet new people, promote Richmond’s beer culture, and show support for the community and FETCH a Cure. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1515205019 or send an email to WBFRIC@gmail.com.
