Sweetwater LowRYEder Promotional Samples

Press Release

ATLANTA (August 2012) – SweetWater Brewing Company today revealed details on the upcoming release of the newest annual brew to join the lineup – LowRYEder, a rye IPA. The flame-throwin’ IPA made its debut on select draft taps throughout the Atlanta area earlier this summer and fans will be able to enjoy the brew in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles for the first time this fall. It will park itself on shelves in Georgia late this August, and then start rollin’ out throughout the rest of the Southeast mid-October.

SweetWater guarantees this brew will make that booty hop as it’s ignited with a 25% shot of rye malt and dry-hopped with Centennial and Mt. Hood hops to give this one a little extra bounce. With 6.2% ABV and 45 IBUs, this LowRYEder gets a little higher.

The folks at SweetWater really wanted to blow it out on this one. In honor of the brand launch, SweetWater is hosting a fiesta to not to forget. On Saturday, Sept. 8 from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., the brewery will open its doors to patrons for the LowRYEder Launch Party & Car Show. Admission remains the same as general tours at $10 which includes a special edition souvenir LowRYEder glass and six 5.5-ounce brew samples.

The car show will feature dozens of lowriders, a hop contest and cash prize for “best of show” contestants. The shindig won’t stop there; partygoers will also enjoy Luche Libre wrestling, live mariachi music, brewery tours and tastings, special LowRYEder cask samples, food trucks and more.

To top it all off, the gang has added a new member to the fleet to best rep the brand…a pimped-out 1963 Impala lowrider. The car, which is hopped up on hydraulics, is currently in the shop for a custom paint job to complement the new brew label. With an exhaust pipe that shoots flames, folks won’t be able to miss this ride cruisin’ the streets of Atlanta this fall.
