Barley Blog - Commentary on Quality Beer

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

By BarleyBlog | December 13th, 2006 | Advertising, Beer

Like most of the people I know, I’ve really been enjoying the Monty-Python-like cut out animation of the “Brilliant” advertising campaign. The ads are just plain entertaining and the mannerisms of the main “characters” cracks me up to no end. As much as I’ve been enjoying those 30 second spots, I’ve got to hand it to the smart folks at AMV BBDO for their work the “Evolution” ad.

The “Evolution” ad has been running for a couple of months now, but it still amazes me every time I see it. And it fits perfectly with the new campaign: “Good Things Come to Those Who Wait.”

The concept of the reverse evolution is, for lack of a better word, brilliant. The execution is clean and smooth. Add to it the fun soundtrack and it just makes for a memorable visual experience. I’ve got to say that my favorite moment is the look on the neanderthal’s face while frozen in the ice flow. Classic.
