About The Barley Blog

I originally started this site in December of 2006 as a way to keep track of all the incredible beer I was drinking at the time. Back then, craft (micro-) breweries across the country numbered just shy of 1500. In the ten years of this website’s existence that number has more than tripled to over 5,000 establishments of varying sizes. To say that what was once a fringe element is now mainstream would be an understatement.

During that same time, the aim of The Barley Blog really hasn’t changed all that much. There’s more and more beer to sample, review and cellar — some of it is absolutely amazing, some of it not so much.

Throughout The Barley Blog, you’ll find beer reviews, beer news, press releases, hilarious commercials and more.
