Beer Blog Discussing All Things Craft Beer

Age + 1

By BarleyBlog | July 10th, 2008 | Beer, Commentary

Another year has gone by and another birthday arrives. It’s been a good year. I’ve had some tasty brews, spent quality, memorable time with the family, fallen off my mountain bike numerous times (usually trying to so something stupid to impress the kid) and have had a great year all around.

That means it’s time to celebrate. Well, as soon as I get home from work. The question is, though, which bottle from the cellar will sacrifice itself for the occasion?

I’ve narrowed it down to the following choices:

  • 2007 Dogfish Head World Wide Stout
  • 2007 Unibroue Terrible
  • Stone Vertical Epic 06.06.06
  • or, 2008 Brooklyn Local One (I haven’t had this one before)

Which one or couple should I indulge in celebration this evening?

I also say terrible. Very nice beer, ready to drink now.

My vote for the one to not drink is the Stone Vertical. Hold out for the 12/12/12 opening.
