Announcing Session #18: Happy Anniversary

The Barley Blog will be hosting next month’s Session — the first Friday of every month when beer bloggers, and beer fans alike, around the world write about the same topic.

For August, the theme is “Happy Anniversary”.

Use this as an excuse to celebrate. Open a limited release anniversary beer from your favorite brewer. Enjoy that special beer you normally only open on your wedding anniversary or birthday. Either way, tell us about it. Why is it a beer you may only drink once a year? Why is that brewery’s annual release the one you selected?

To participate, write your post on Friday, August 1 and either comment here or send an email to barley@thebarleyblog.com with your link. For more on the Session check out previous topics.

So, I didn’t exactly stay on the topic, but it’s close. “… So, you see, creating beers for wedding celebrations has a long history. And we still needed another half-keg of beer. So, I called up a local brewer and asked a favor: How would you like to brew a beer for my wedding? …”
