Not only is it time for college hoops to get a little nutty, but the editors of the Washington Post have continued with their own little bit of March Madness with their annual beer tournament. Pitting 32 beers (in four categories) against each other in a winner takes all battle royal, the event features a variety of breweries including early favored Dogfish Head and belgian traditionalists Ommegang. As per last year, the tournament participants are all U.S. based, but do touch on several different styles.
You can participate online in the voting online. I’ve got Brooklyn Lager, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Rogue Juniper Pale Ale and Ellie’s Brown Ale in the final four. Should prove to be an entertaining event.
