I’m not sure how many of you all are up on the whole Web 2.0 social silliness that abounds at the moment, but Twitter is one of those sites that has garnered a good deal of attention these days. Well, needless to say, working in the Internet industry, I’ve been meaning to play around with their API and freely available feeds for some time now.
This week, I was finally able to get some time to toy around.
As a result, I give you BeerUpdate. This simple site pulls all public “tweets” (messages) from Twitter that are related to beer in one way or another. It was a fun little exercise and it’s always interesting to see what others around the world are talking about when it comes to beer. Check it out.

Thats a nice tool you’ve created there. I use TweetScan.com to look for beer related words in recent twitters. I’m using Twitter exclusively to communicate with beer enthusiasts. Many brewers are using it too to cross promote. Look me up on Twitter @ChipperDave and examine my Following list. Just about all of those are beer related.
