June 4, 2010 (Richmond, Va.) – The World Beer Festival is excited to announce 81 breweries have been secured for the June 12th event on Brown’s Island in Downtown Richmond, Virginia. A beer event like no other Richmond has seen, the World Beer Festival offers samplings of 177 beers from domestic and international breweries.

“Our festival brings an unusually large and diverse sampling of beer to a single event,” said Daniel Bradford, publisher of All About Beer Magazine. “At the Richmond event, we are fortunate to have beer from the local Richmond brewery Legend Brewery, from breweries all across the US such as Firestone Walker Brewing from California, and from breweries around the world such as Brewdog Brewery from Scotland.”

The following breweries have been secured to participate in the June 12, 2010 event in Richmond:

“This is a unique opportunity for Richmonders to learn about the colorful history of beer and its rich culture around the world and right here in Richmond,” said Bradford. “This event is not only for the folks in the growing local beer community, but also for those looking to try something new, tempt their palate and experience beer in a whole new light. We’ll feature a full spectrum of beer styles – from hoppy India Pale Ales to big Belgian Ales to malty Stouts.”

Produced by All About Beer Magazine, the World Beer Festival is a celebration of the world beer culture. In addition to sampling a wide array of beers from across the country and around the world, festival goers can also enjoy educational sessions by industry experts, food from a variety of local restaurants, plus live entertainment by local musicians.
