Brewers Association Announces Updated Beer Style Guidelines

The Brewers Association has been on a roll so far in a very young 2011. Having just recently revised the definition of a “craft brewery,” they have now updated the Beer Style Guidelines. Changes include a few updated descriptions and a couple of styles having been renamed. Style descriptions have been revised for:

In addition, a couple of beer styles have been renamed (as well as having updated descriptions). “American-Style Sour Ale” has been relabeled “American-Style Brett Ale.” “American-Style Black Ale” has also been relabeled to “American-Style India Black Ale.” You can read the full press release here.
