Stiegl Radler Grapefruit
There’s nothing more thirst quenching than a quaffable, cold brew on a hot Summer afternoon. Make it fruity with low levels of alcohol and you have a proverbial double rainbow on your hands. Stiegl Radler Grapefruit (grapefruit) is that atmospheric phenomenon and then some.
Now, I’m not saying this is the best beer in the world it’s not by a very long shot. I can only think of few other products that refresh the body and reinvigorate the soul quite like this beer.
So for the uninitiated, a radler is usually a 50/50 blend of a pale lager or pils and lemonade. The case with Steigl Radler Grapefruit, however, is that it’s 40% golden lager blended with 60% grapefruit soda. The result is a beer that really just tastes like grapefruit soda. Of course, given a handful of these, you will eventually start to feel the effects of the 3.2% ABV.
Appearance
Stiegl Radler pours a hazy, straw yellow in color with no head of which to speak.

Aroma
The nose on this beer is grapefruit all day long with, maybe a hint of grain.
Taste
Well, it’s fizzy, grapefruit-y and refreshing as hell. I can’t really say much more than that as the beer aspect of this blend gives way to the grapefruit soda. I’d be hard pressed to pinpoint any beery traits. It’s light bodied and not too tart, with a lingering, soft sweetness.
Overall
Stiegl Radler Grapefruit is ideal for quenching your thirst when you want more than a glass of water or your standard soda. After mowing the yard? Yes. After hiking up and down your favorite mountain trail? Yes. There’s really not much else to say.
