Cigar City Brewing Kicks Off 2018 with New Packaging

Following the release of the new logo set in mid-November, Cigar City Brewing is proud to unveil a refreshed look for all packaging, including a newly introduced Jai Alai IPA 12-pack, launching in all markets in the immediate future.

“By refreshing, we were not looking to reinvent the wheel but instead optimize it and make it work more efficiently. We had a lot of successful elements in the previous designs but lacked overall harmony, our creative goal was to make these new designs feel like a natural evolution of their predecessor, for a look that definitively screams Cigar City Brewing,” said Tiffany Cox, Cigar City Brewing Creative Manager.

Outside of familiar forms, these new packages also contain hidden elements that speak to Florida history and culture, key elements to Cigar City Brewing’s brand. “Everything we do is informed by Tampa’s unique culture, history and cuisine. We’re thrilled that we were able to incorporate all of these elements into our new packaging. At the same time, we believe these designs resonate well in the markets outside of Florida and will help get beer-lovers excited about the liquid inside,” said Neil Callaghan, El Lector for Cigar City Brewing.

This refresh coincides with Cigar City Brewing’s joint announcement with Oskar Blues Brewery, Perrin Brewing, Squatters Craft Beers and Wasatch Brewery of a newly coined name for their joint venture: CANarchy. Formed as a group of like-minded craft breweries and rule breakers intent building a platform to keep craft beer in the hands and mouths of drinkers, CANarchy brings together the skill and passion of the nation’s leading craft beer canners. Collectively, the breweries that make up CANarchy represent the largest canned craft beer supplier in the United States.
Cigar City Brewing’s beer, including award-winning Jai Alai IPA, is now available in twelve states encompassing Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Colorado, and Utah. Cigar City Brewing’s ales and lagers are also exported to Denmark.
