2014 Great American Beer Festival: Maryland, D.C. and Virginia Winners
Well, this past weekend’s GABF awards ceremony was a bit of a mixed bag for the DelMarVa brewers. Virginia saw our medal list drop by half as compared to the year prior, but both Maryland and D.C. both added to their medal count.
The surprising thing or maybe not all that surprising is that Devils Backbone won the Mid-Size Brewing Company and Mid-Size Brewing Company Brewer of the Year award this year. The company just proves that they know how to craft some good beer, having moved up from winning the Small Brewing Company award the past two years.
