Just Arrived: Flying Dog Imperial IPA Centennial

Flying Dog Centennial photoCentennial hops, 24/7

This complimentary bottle of Flying Dog’s Single Hop Imperial IPA with Centennial was awaiting my return from work yesterday afternoon. As you can guess, it uses only Centennial hops for bittering, aroma and flavor as part of the brewery’s Single Hop series — which utilizes the same grist bill across all the releases to focus on the hops that are showcased in each beer. This brew joins the Simcoe (which was a phenomenal beer) and the El Dorado releases.

If the Centennial, with it’s higher alpha acid levels, is only half as good as that Simcoe release, it’s still going to be a great beer.
