Heritage Brewing and Veritas Coffee Team Up to Create Virginia’s First Brewpub and Roastery

Press Release

Arlington, VA – November 1, 2016 – Heritage Brewing Co. is pleased to announce its partnership with Veritas Coffee to create Virginia’s first Coffee Roastery and Brewpub. In partnership with the owners of The Trinity Place Bar in New York City and Regency Centers the location will feature a true farm to table food experience in the heart of the Clarendon Market Common in Arlington, Virginia.

“We have found a marriage of everything we love in the Market Common space. Great beer and coffee married with farm fresh food from the farmers that utilize our spent brewing and roasting products. It is the ultimate farm to table concept. From the farmers, to the chefs and the brewers I am just proud to be part of such an amazing project.”, says Sean Arroyo CEO & Co-Founder of Heritage Brewing Co.”

The Market Common location will operate as a barrel aging house and will do small pilot batches keeping a constantly rotating selection of beers. Veritas will present its first hot coffee bar with artisan roasted small batch pour over coffee and a variety of nitro draft coffee and lattes. The kitchen will focus on locally sourced ingredients and will provide a unique farm to table concept. All of the beef will come from a local Virginia farm that feeds its cattle with spent grain from Heritage.

“Think about it, the food on your plate will be fed with the spent grain from the beer in your glass and the spent coffee grounds used to make the coffee in your cup. It is an amazing cycle and a truly unique farm to table concept,” said Arroyo.

A coffee shop, a brewery, a bottle shop, and a farm to table restaurant with both to- go and full service, Market Common will provide consumers with a variety of choices for all times of the day. Both Heritage and Veritas will offer a variety of to-go packages and limited release products. As with the start of the brewery the team at Heritage and Veritas are launching a Kickstarter campaign to get support from the Heritage community and the community of Arlington for the build.

“Our consumers are the ones who have helped us build Heritage. Their support of our initial Kickstarter was crucial to our start up. We wanted to make sure they were a part of the next chapter of our story. We are excited to start working and we wanted everyone to be a part of the build,” said Arroyo.

Grand Opening

The Market Common is slated to open its doors in Early 2017 although Heritage and Veritas will be offering a select few early access this December. An official Grand Opening has yet to be announced but will be released soon. Heritage & Veritas will be posting progress of the build and look to offer a multitude of new ways for customers to interact with both organizations and purchase new products.
